Ethiopia Earned $318 Mn from Horticulture Exports in 2018/19

Ethiopia earned 71.1 million US dollars in revenue from the export of leather and leather products over the last seven months according to the Ministry of Industry.
The revenue raised in the reporting period exceeds that earned in the same period last fiscal year by more than 62% said Melaku Taye, Communications Director with the Ministry.
In the first 6 months of the current fiscal year, Ethiopia earned 1.6 billion USD from the tourism sector. According to Gezahegn Abate, Public and International Relations Director at the Minister of Culture and Tourism, more than 400,000 foreign tourists visited the country during the 6 months period.
Ethiopia generated more than 1.7 billion USD in the first 6 months of the current fiscal year. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
According to Public Relations and International Affairs Director at the Ministry, Gezahegn Abate, explained the revenue was collected from 470,000 tourists that visited Ethiopia during the period.
In the just ended fiscal year, Ethiopia made 104 million USD from the export of meat, honey, wax, fodder products, and milk and dairy. This was disclosed by Ethiopian Meat & Dairy Industry Development Institute
