Yabelo-Metagefersa Road Opened for Traffic
The Yabelo-Metagefersa road project has been completed and it is now open for traffic this week, said Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA).
Yangfan Motors Expanding its Assembly Plant in Ethiopia
Yangfan Motors P.L.C., a Chinese based Company, is to expand its vehicle assembly plant in Ethiopia at a cost of US$4.2 million.
The company has been assembling vehicles during the past four years in Ethiopia. Yangfan Motors signed agreement on Thursday for purchase of its assembling and manufacturing facility with Eastern Industry Zone located in Dukem, Oromia Regional State.
Yara Awards Dr Eleni Gabremadhin
Yara International has awarded the 2012 Yara Prize to Dr. Eleni Gabremadhin, former CEO of the Ethiopian Commodity 
Exchange.
Dr. Eleni has been selected by the committee for her visionary leadership in managing the process to establish a functioning market for agricultural produce as the founder and chief Executive of the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange.
The Yara Prize Committee selected Dr. Eleni and Dr. Agnes Kalibata, Rwandese Minister for Agriculture and Animal resources for their work on ground breaking sectors in the African Green Revolution and contributing to effective public policies to support agricultural development and for profound innovation in agricultural markets.
Yara Gets New Partner for Dallol Project in Ethiopia
Liberty Metals & Mining Holdings, LLC, a subsidiary of Boston-based Liberty Mutual Insurance (LMM), has acquired 25 percent of the shares in “Yara Dallol” for USD 51.25 million.
