A new governor is assigned to the National Bank of Ethiopia. The former governor, Teklewold Atnafu, is replaced by Dr. Yinager Dessie, who was Commissioner of the National Planning Commission of Ethiopia. The measure is part of the country’s major economic reforms.

The House of People’s Representatives (HPR) of Ethiopia on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, held a discussion on a draft bill that look up income tax exemptions for cooperative societies, according to The Reporter.
The first Boeing 787 Dreamliner that will be delivered to Ethiopian Airlines has been painted in the airline’s livery and is in the 
final stages of preparation for delivery announced Ethiopian Airlines.
The aircraft was painted in the national colors of green, yellow and red and will fly back to Seattle from San Antonio, Texas it was said in the company press release.
Ethiopian Airlines is proud to the first African carrier to fly the much awaited, state of the art Dreamliner and anticipates delivery within the next month according to the release.
The first of the ten Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner aircraft ordered by Ethiopian Airlines is expected to arrive in Addis Ababa later on this week.
Ethiopian Airlines pilots and technicians are trained and ready to operate the new aircraft which will arrive in Ethiopia on the 17th of August said Tewolde Gebremariam, Chief Executive of the Airline. Technicians are also being sent for further practical training to ANA he said.
Ethiopian is organizing a ‘Dream Tour’ to Kilimanjaro on August 18th for VIPS, members of the media and business people will be taken on a sightseeing tour of Africa’s highest peak said Tewolde.
Stratex International, the AIM-listed gold miner, reported that it had seen promising results from its current 
drilling programme at the Megenta hot spring epithermal gold prospect, in the Afar region of Ethiopia.
The company said that it had intersected a broad near-surface zone of 43.55 m grading at 0.67 g/t gold at Hole MG-DD-10 and promising grab samples have also been collected from the Akehil prospect about 9 km away from Megenta.
