MCIT to Lower Internet Tariffs
The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) of Ethiopia says it will decrease internet tariffs.
McKinsey Co. to Open Offices in Ethiopia
McKinsey and Company, an international consulting firm in the management industry, is to open an office in Ethiopia. The firm is entering Ethiopia to take advantage of increasing market opportunities in the agricultural, industrial and service sectors.
The McKinsey and Co. office in Ethiopia is expected to service foreign investors investing in the Ethiopian agro industry sector from China, India and Turkey and other countries according to sources.
MEC Signs Agreement with Ethiopian Firm
Norwegian company, MEC AS, Magnetic Emission Control, engaged in emissions reduction and fuel efficiency technology, 
signed a dealer contract with QOPH Engineering Enterprise in Ethiopia.
The agreement establishes that QOPH will engage in long haul tracking concerns, construction equipment, transport and earth moving.
The deal is part of MEC plans to expand into the Middle Eastern and African Region according to Bjorn Skjervold, Chief Exceutive Officer of MEC.
Meeting on GERD "Fruitful", Ethiopian Delegation Says
The Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the tripartite meeting on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) on the Nile, held in Washington D.C. from January 13 to 15, has been fruitful in marking "a major breakthrough."
