Gold prices soared past USD 4,000 per ounce for the first time on Wednesday, extending a record-breaking rally fueled by geopolitical tensions, expectations of U.S. interest rate cuts, and growing investor demand for safe-haven assets.

Tiret, an Ethiopian endowment fund is finalizing its new malt production plant in Gonder, Ethiopia. The factory is scheduled to go operational in June this year.
Gondar Malt Factory has been under construction for the past two years, on four hectares of land. The factory is expected to produce 16,200tns of malt a year, 12,000tns of which will be supplied to Dashen Brewery, one of the sister company in the endowment fund.The Google team announced the first g|ethiopia to be held in Addis Ababa on 7-8 February. 
The event is planned to engage business leader, entrepreneurs and community of developers interested in technology.
