Ethiopia’s capital city is going to get 294 mobile toilets that are worth 30 Million Birr. Addis Ababa Water & Sewerage Authority (AAWSA) is going to take delivery of the toilets that are three square meters from the Metal and Engineering Corporation (MetEC).
The National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) is set to undergo significant institutional reorganization as the country moves toward a more liberalized financial system. Two key proclamations—the NBE establishment proclamation and the banking business proclamation—are expected to be finalized in the coming weeks, marking a turning point for Ethiopia’s banking sector.
Ethiopia generates over USD 1.016 billion in the first seven months of the fiscal year from coffee, tea, and spice exports. Coffee exports alone contributed over USD 1.011 billion, marking a record-breaking achievement of surpassing USD 1 billion in less than half the fiscal year.
Ethiopia will expect a 25 percent climb from its arabica coffee export earnings in the 2014/2015 fiscal year, taking it to about U.S $ 900 Million. This is, according to Bloomberg, because of the higher price forecasted to happen following the drought damaged plants in Brazil.
Ministry of Trade (MoT) disclosed Ethiopia might reach a record high volume of annual coffee export by the end of the current fiscal year. During the past 11 month Ethiopia exported 174,000 tons of coffee, which is 96 percent of the intended 180,000 tons.
