Ethiopian Airlines, the fastest growing and most profitable airline in Africa, is pleased to announce that it has won the Best Airline of the Year Award at MICE Magazine’s 7th Annual Award Ceremony held in Beijing, China on April 11, 2014 in the presence of 200 top travel trade professionals, travel agents, representatives of the national tourism offices and media from all over China.

The Tendaho Drinking Water Supply Project, Ethiopia is 90% complete according to Kumelachew Abebe, Communications and Public Relations Process Owner with the Ethiopian Water Works Construction Enterprise.
The project is expected to take 97 million birr and will be utilized by the nomadic Afar peoples and the employees of the Tendaho Sugar Development project, a total of almost 70,000 people in the area around the project.
The Tendaho Dam and Irrigation Project management buildings, also being constructed by the EWWCE, are also 90% complete at an estimated cost of 200 million birr said Kumelachew.
The Adama wind power project being developed at a cost of 117 million US dollars in Ethiopia is nearing completion.
The project was launched in June of last year and is expected to be finalized by the coming June according to Miskir Negash, Head of Public Relations with the Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation.
The wind farm will have a potential capacity of 51 MW with a total of 34 towers each generating 1.5 MW said Miskir.
