The Ethiopian Ministry of Trade and Industry announced that it will sell in the market over a thousand truckloads of steel seized at 13 different locations. The steel, the Ministry said, were prepared "to be sold illegally".
The Ethiopian Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration announced that it has allowed tax-free entry of essential goods, waving tax amounting to 27 billion birr. Officials have also said the government is taking several measures to address the issue of the rising cost of living.
