The Ethiopian Ministry of Trade and Industry announced that it will sell in the market over a thousand truckloads of steel seized at 13 different locations. The steel, the Ministry said, were prepared "to be sold illegally".
The earning from the sale of the steel will be transferred to the government, the Ministry noted.
It is to be recalled that the Ministry vowed "to take actions" on those involved in illegal marketing practices that are worsening inflation and associated socio-economic problems.
