Ethiopian Electric Utility to Build a Technology Center in Kotebe

The Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU) and the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) have recently entered into a contract to establish a cutting-edge technology center in Kotebe sub-city, Addis Ababa. The center, to be constructed on EEU premises, carries a price tag of Birr 9,341,596,232.

Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU) announced it has provided access to electricity for 46,603 households during the 30-day period since February 8, 2022. The figure has risen by 34 percent compared to the same period last year, with additional 15,768 households benefiting, EEU related.
Ambassador Teshome Toga, Ethiopian Ambassador to China, stated that the forum aimed to encourage Chinese companies to invest in Ethiopia by promoting Ethiopia’s special focus on the pharmaceutical sector. The Ambassador called on Chinese companies to visit and invest in Ethiopia.
