Ethiopian Court Order Liquidates Eritrean Owned Bank
A federal court in Ethiopia ordered Horn International Bank to be stricken from the commercial register last Wednesday. Horn International Bank was under formation by Eritrean majority share holders before the onset of the Ethio-Eritrean war.
The liquidator, Bibawi and Company, was instructed to transfer the money it was administering to the National Bank of Ethiopia. The National Bank will pay the money to shareholders on presentation of relevant evidentiary documents.
All documents of Horn International Bank are also to be transferred to the central bank.
Ethiopian Airlines has been awarded as "The Best Airline in Africa" for the fourth year in a row, "The Best Business Class Airline in Africa" for the third year in a row, "The Best Economy Class Airline in Africa" for the third year in a row, and "The Best Cabin Crew in Africa" in the SKYTRAX World Airline Awards 2021.
The Ethiopian Customs Commission (ECC) said it is planning to begin a fully digital electronic service and go paperless, in a bid to give fast and up-to-date service.
