This will enable money senders spread across over 50 countries, most of which are expected to be Ethiopian diaspora, to make transfers to over 1.2 million “CBE wallets.” They will also be able to send money to any mobile number throughout Ethiopia.

The report of African Business claims that East Africa’s biggest bank, Equity Bank Group, is ranked 1st with USD 1.6 billion capital while the second place in the ranking table is secured by another Kenyan Bank, Co-operative Bank of Kenya, with a capital of USD 739 million.
