Japanese electric vehicle manufacturer and distributor, Dodai Manufacturing, has officially partnered with the Addis Ababa Transport Bureau in a move aimed at promoting electric mobility and sustainable urban transport in Ethiopia’s capital.
As part of its commitment to supporting Ethiopia’s green transportation agenda, Dodai has donated 40 electric motorcycles to the Transport Bureau. These bikes are fully integrated with Dodai’s battery exchange system, enabling riders to receive a fully charged battery within five minutes through the Dodai Smart Network. The system also allows for convenient mobile payments.
The collaboration is expected to play a key role in modernizing urban transportation in Addis Ababa while creating new job opportunities for residents and encouraging broader adoption of environmentally friendly transport solutions.
Dodai, known for its innovation in electric vehicles, emphasized that the partnership reflects its long-term commitment to delivering sustainable and efficient transportation options across Africa.
