Four brand-new Airbus A350-1000 aircraft will be powered by Trent XWB-97 engines thanks to a Total Care servicing contract negotiated by Rolls-Royce and Ethiopian Airlines. According to the deal, Ethiopian Airlines will have predictable costs for the servicing and upkeep of the engines. The agreement was inked while Ethiopian Airlines was present at the Derby, UK, office of Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace.
Total Care is a high-end service that gives customers operational security by returning time on wing and maintenance cost risks to Rolls-Royce. Data from the Rolls-Royce advanced engine health monitoring system, which helps to give customers better operational availability, dependability, and efficiency, is used to support this service.
The Trent XWB is now the most effective big aero engine in use, and 20 Ethiopian Airlines A350-900s are already powered by the Trent XWB-84. Mesfin Tasew, the CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, expressed his gratitude for the company's long-standing partnership with Rolls-Royce and their TotalCare agreement for the airline's newest addition to its fleet, the cutting-edge A350-1000 aircraft.
Rolls-Royce's Chief Customer Officer, Ewen McDonald, expressed his company's joy at signing a long-term maintenance contract with Ethiopian Airlines for its Airbus A350-1000s powered by Trent XWB-97 engines. As the first operator of the A350-900 and the first to put the A350-1000 into service, Ethiopian Airlines has been a pioneer in Africa. Rolls-Royce is eager to offer the Trent XWB-84 and Trent XWB-97 a TotalCare service that maximizes performance.
