The fourth edition of the “Made in Ethiopia” Expo concluded in Addis Ababa after generating trade and marketing agreements worth more than Birr 57 billion.

Held under the theme “Ethiopian Industry for Universal Sovereignty,” the expo brought together more than 350 industries from five major sectors and created a platform for local manufacturers, start-ups, and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises to showcase their products and build market connections.

The event featured 20 start ups presenting new ideas and innovations, while 22 industries took part in product development competitions. In addition, 10 companies introduced products developed from local resources through food tasting sessions during the exhibition.

Information presented at the closing ceremony indicated that the expo helped facilitate more than 12,000 business and market linkage connections among manufacturers. Partnerships established between 16 government institutions and manufacturing industries contributed to the agreements secured during the event.

The exhibition highlighted efforts to strengthen Ethiopia’s manufacturing sector, expand opportunities for domestic producers, and support industrial innovation. It also encouraged wider market access for Ethiopian manufacturers, including opportunities across African markets.

The next “Made in Ethiopia” Expo is scheduled for May 13 to 18, 2027.
