S. African Investors Discussed Opportunities with Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce

South African investors on Thursday discussed with counterparts from Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations on ways of working together.

Speaking on the occasion, Laurence Saville, president of Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce, said cooperation between the two chambers is vital to strengthening trade ties between the two nations.

Mulu Solomon, president of Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations, for her part said Ethiopia’s annual exports to South Africa have hit USD 70 million, while its imports from that country amount to USD 89 million.

On the occasion, the South African businesspersons were briefed on the existing investment opportunities in Ethiopia, according to ERTA.
