The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ethiopian Airlines Group, Mesfin Tassew, said that the airline had already achieved its vision 2025. According to the CEO, Ethiopian Airlines is working towards meeting its vision 2035 which is aimed at increasing the airline’s destinations to 207 from the current 131. The vision also aims to almost double the Ethiopian Airline’s fleet by increasing the airline’s number of aircraft to 271. In addition, the Group is envisioning to earn USD 25 billion in revenue by the year 2035.

Paron Trading signed an agreement with the Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) to enter Bahir Dar Industrial Park.

Paron Trading is a local company which is in the sector of agro processing. It will invest Birr 500 million in the park on the 2 hectares of developed land it received from the Corporation. It is also expected to create employment opportunities for 1000 individuals.

Bahir Dar Industrial Park is situated on 75 hectares of land in Bahir Dar city which is 560 km from Addis Ababa. It became operational in 2020.

Adama Industrial Park’s power supply has been improving after a newly built electricity distribution station was inaugurated in Adama a few months ago. The station built at a cost of USD 13.5 million distributes 250MW of electric power in Adama.

Sport Bottled Water Factory was inaugurated on Saturday last week in the presence of Minister of Industry Melaku Alebel. The factory was constructed by Belaya Industrial PLC at a cost of Birr 1.2 billion and is set to export bottled water for the first in the country’s bottled water production history.

Ambassador Jemal Beker, Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, announced that work was being carried out to establish social, economic, and political cooperation between Ethiopia and Pakistan. The Ambassador held a discussion with representative of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and Pakistan Tea Association (PTA).

TradeMark East Africa, Ethiopian Agricultural Authority (EAA), and Ethiopian Horticulture Producer Exporters Association (EHPEA) inked an agreement to enhance service delivery. The agreement will enable EAA and EHPE to modernize their information and communication technology and digitalize their services.
