The Council of Ministers endorsed the regulation which is drafted to revise the Establishment Regulation of the Ethiopian Railway Corporation. The draft regulation has increased the authorized capital and paid up capital of the Corporation to Birr 221 billion and Birr 120 billion, respectively.

Ethiopian manufacturing industries and import-export companies are participating in the 8th World Cooperation Industries Forum. The Forum is being held in Istanbul with a view to enhancing the cooperation between African and Turkish investors and showcase the products of Turkey’s Small and Medium Enterprises.
The Forum will be closed on March 23rd. It is hosting manufacturers from 41 countries and 300 Turkish manufacturers. Close to 1000 visitors are expected to attend the Forum.

Chinese investors expressed their interest to attend the Invest Ethiopia 2023 Forum. The investors showed their interest to attend the forum during a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to the People’s Republic of China, Tefera Derbew.

Ethiopia is planning to get USD 7 billion from animal products in the coming decade. According to the Ethiopian Livestock Development Institute (ELDI), the country earned USD 1 billion from the export of animal products during the past ten years despite having rich animal resources.

Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority announced that Ethiopia earned USD 787 million from coffee export during the past 8 months. According to the Authority, Ethiopia achieved a better performance in coffee export when compared to the same period in the last fiscal year even though the Ukraine-Russia war affected the European coffee market which was the top destination for Ethiopian coffee.
