The Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration (MoTRI) revised fuel prices yesterday, May 3, 2023. According to the Ministry, the price adjustment will be effective until June 7, 2023.

Ethio-Engineering Group (EEG) and China Railway Rolling S.C. recently held discussions regarding the potential for producing electric buses in Ethiopia. The two parties reached a mutual understanding to establish an electric bus factory in the country.

Participants from various sectors, including Ethiopian coffee exporters, farmers, and roasters, took part in the 2023 Oregon, Portland Specialty Coffee Expo. The Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) signed investment agreements worth over USD 1.6 billion with various foreign companies during the International Investment Forum – Invest Ethiopia 2023 – which was held for three days under the theme “Invest and Grow in Ethiopia”.

Ethiopia gained USD 907.56 million in nine months by exporting more than 169 thousand tons of coffee, tea, and spices. Germany, Saudi Arabia, the United State, Kenya, the United Kingdom, China, and India were the major export destinations.

Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad announced that Ethiopia-Pakistan Business Forum would be held in Karachi during the second week of May. The forum has a goal of enhancing bilateral trade between Ethiopia and Pakistan.

British earthmoving construction firm PW Mining and Australian process plant construction company Lycopodium, have signed the Final Umbrella Agreement with Tulu Kapi Gold Mines (TKGM), a gold and copper exploration and development company. The companies need to finalize all arrangements in the community before starting construction and gold production. The two companies have hired British and Australian contractors that specialize in mining.
