Ethiopia: A New Ceramic Factory to be Erected in Bishoftu

Ministry of Urban

The Ministry of Urban Development and Infrastructure has announced the upcoming launch of a new ceramic factory in Bishoftu. This factory, constructed at a cost of Birr 2 billion, will have a daily production capacity of 18,000 square meters of ceramic.

The establishment of this factory aims to reduce the country's reliance on imported ceramics and capitalize on Ethiopia's potential in the ceramic sector. The factory is expected to commence operations once infrastructure is completed and raw materials are supplied.

This development is a positive stride for Ethiopia's construction industry, catering to the increasing demand for construction materials and generating employment opportunities for the local population amidst the country's rapid economic growth.
