Ethiopian Airlines to Manufacture Aerospace Components in Kilinto

Ethiopian Airlines Group is set to build a shed in Killinto Industrial Park for the manufacturing of aerospace components such as aircraft thermo-acoustic insulation blankets, electrical wire harnesses, and various other components.

The investment project, a joint venture between Ethiopian Airlines Group and Boeing, is anticipated to require a capital investment of USD 15 million. The airlines signed an MoU with Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) and Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) to enter the park. The initiative is part of Ethiopian Airlines' manufacturing strategy, which was initiated in 2009.

According to EIC, this endeavor has the potential to generate over 300 employment opportunities for Ethiopian individuals.
