The Belayneh Kinde Group has commenced the assembly of electric vehicles at its plant in Debre Berhan city. The factory has started producing electric minibuses, light buses, and city buses, according to the group's Director of Communications.
The factory plans to sell 216 minibuses in Debreberhan and Gelan during the first round of marketing. The Director also revealed that the plant cost 2 billion Birr to build. It was inaugurated in January this year with the aim of assembling one thousand cars annually and creating employment opportunities for 500 individuals.
