Ethio Engineering Group (EEG) signed an agreement with Yotong, a Chinese company, to manufacture city buses under Bishoftu Automotive Manufacturing Industry.

The buses that will be manufactured based on the agreement will have 40 seats and the capacity to transport between 40 and 120 passengers.

EEG is a governmental business enterprise re-established in September 2020 under the FDRE Council of Ministers’ Regulation No. 475/2020. It is engaged in manufacturing and trading automotive products, agricultural machineries, construction machineries, power and electronic equipment, metal and metal products, and plastic and polymer products. Bishoftu Automotive Manufacturing Industry produces Sheger and Anbessa buses.
