KEFI Gold and Copper has announced changes to its board as the company prepares for the next stage of development of the Tulu Kapi Gold Project in Ethiopia.
The company appointed Tony Blair Institute's Country Director for Ethiopia, Maleda Bisrat, as an independent non-executive director. It also promoted Alistair Clark, an existing non-executive director, to senior independent director and deputy chairman following the company’s annual general meeting.
The changes follow the retirement of long serving non-executive director Richard Robinson. KEFI said the appointments are intended to strengthen governance as the company advances its Tulu Kapi project.
Maleda Bisrat brings experience in Ethiopia’s public and private sectors, including economic reform, investment promotion and financial market development. Her appointment is expected to support the company’s stakeholder engagement and operations in Ethiopia.
Clark will continue to chair the remuneration committee and remain a member of the audit and financial risk committee. In his expanded role, he is expected to provide additional oversight as KEFI works toward production at Tulu Kapi.
KEFI Gold and Copper is an AIM listed exploration and development company focused on gold and copper projects in Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia. Its main asset is the Tulu Kapi Gold Project in Ethiopia.
