The Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration has announced adjustments to retail fuel prices, effective March 11, 2026.

The price hike applies to gasoline, kerosene, white diesel, light black diesel, heavy black diesel, and jet fuel. The Ministry attributed these changes to fluctuations in the global oil market and the necessity of aligning domestic retail costs with international trends to ensure a sustainable supply.

White diesel saw a jump, now costing Birr 139.84 per liter, marking an 8.3% increase, or Birr 10.72 more per liter than the previous month's rate. Gasoline (Benzene) saw a rise of 2.3%, with the price increasing by Birr 3.06 per liter to reach Birr 132.18. Kerosene prices have also risen, now costing Birr 146.14 per liter.

Additionally, the Ministry set the current retail prices for specialized fuels. Light black diesel is now priced at Birr 137.03 per liter, while heavy black diesel stands at Birr 133.45. Jet fuel has been adjusted to Birr 145.23 per liter.
