Allana Potash Intersects High-Grade Potash in Ethiopia

Allana Potash announced yesterday that it intersected high-grade potash mineralization in hole DK-11-27 on its 154,000-hectare property in the Nequen province of Ethiopia.

Assays from this hole returned 37.7 percent potassium chloride, or potash, over 3.45 metres at a depth of 159.9 metres. It also intersected 17.41 percent potash over 13.0 metres at a depth of 163.35 metres, and at a depth of 259.23 metres, the hole intersected 7.67 metres grading 23.05 percent potash.

"We believe drilling in this area will allow Allana to upgrade resources from Inferred to Measured and Indicated categories as well as add to the Inferred category," Farhad Abasov, President and CEO of Allana Potash, said.

Allana also said that it was continuing to work on its infill drill program in the southern part of the property in hole DK-11-35 to upgrade certain elements of its targeted initial production zones to the measured and indicated category from the inferred category, for its feasibility study.

Allana said on September 12 that its common shares would start trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange at market open the following day.

Allana said that its stock symbol would remain "AAA".

Farhad Abasov, Allana's President and CEO, said that trading on the Toronto Stock Excange would enhance the company's already strong trading liquidity and attract a broader investor base to Allana.

"This is also a very important event for Ethiopia as Allana has become the first company with an Ethiopian mining asset to be listed on the TSX, the pre-eminent exchange for global mining companies," Abasov said.
