Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation (ECWC) and Djibouti's Enterprise Dawaleh Construction (EDC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen their strategic collaboration.

The companies signed the agreement on June 4, 2023, at the Ethiopian Embassy in Djibouti in the presence of Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Djibouti, Berhanu Tsegaye, and ECWC's CEO, Yonas Ayalew. The two companies have a long history of working together, and the MoU is expected to strengthen their partnership and lead to new opportunities for collaboration. The MoU also aims to foster cooperation in the construction industry across Ethiopia, Djibouti, and other Central and East African countries.

ECWC is already making significant contributions in Djibouti. The company is currently constructing a 35-kilometer road project in Molud, Dakhil, and Galamo. The project is expected to be completed in 2024.
