Ethiopia: Berenta Cement and SINOMA International Agree to Work Together

CEMENT PRODUCTION

Berenta Cement PLC and SINOMA international signed a partnership agreement to establish an industrial park for the production of cement and construction materials, gypsum, gypsum board, glass, fiber glass, and similar products.

The signing ceremony was attended by senior federal and regional officials, including Dr. Yelkal Kefale, the Head of Government of the Amhara Region, and Habtamu Tegebe (Engineer), the Minister of Mines.

Berenta Cement is a company established by Beaeka General Business Group and a company called Jer both of which are involved in various investment sectors. It is currently under construction to produce cement and other construction materials. The construction is being carried out in three phases and the agreement will allow the construction of the first two phases of the factory to be carried out simultaneously to enable Brenta to produce 12,000 tons of bricks per day.
