Ethiopia: Siinqee Bank Reports Birr 10.7 Billion Pre-Provision Profit

Siinqee Bank reported a pre-provision profit of Birr 10.7 billion for the 2025/26 fiscal year, according to figures presented during the bank’s annual operational review held at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel.

The meeting brought together more than 800 executives, district directors and branch managers from across the country to review the bank’s performance during the fiscal year and discuss operational priorities for the coming year.

According to information presented during the review, Siinqee Bank recorded growth across several areas of its operations, including loans, deposits, assets and capital.

The bank’s outstanding loan portfolio reached Birr 127.1 billion during the reporting period. The credit was extended to more than 855,000 individuals and businesses operating across different sectors of the economy.

Customer deposits reached Birr 178.1 billion, while the bank’s total assets stood at Birr 216.2 billion. Total capital reached Birr 23.1 billion during the fiscal year.

Siinqee Bank President Neway Megersa said the performance reflected the bank’s continued focus on expanding its operations and increasing access to financial services.

The annual review also assessed the bank’s achievement against its operational targets and considered its strategic priorities for the next fiscal year.

As part of the event, Siinqee Bank recognized branches, district offices and executives based on their performance during the reporting period. Certificates and awards were presented to selected organizational units and officials.

The bank said it intends to continue expanding its financial services and customer base while strengthening its operations across the country.
