Ethiopia's ACSI Disbursed 4.12B Birr in Loan

The Amhara Credit and Saving Institution reported it has disbursed 4.12 billion Ethiopian birr loan in the just concluded Ethiopian Fiscal Year.

Institution Operation Sector Deputy Manager, Agaje Getahun, told WIC that the loan was distributed among people engaged in manufacturing, wood and metal works, trade, service, animal fattening and agriculture, among others.

Agaje said the institution has attained 97 per cent of its target to distribute 4.25 billion Ethiopian birr in the budget year.

The Amhara Credit and Saving Institution has more than 880, 000 beneficiaries of loan service, the majority of them being women. The 1.7 million client base of the institution has also saved 2.45 billion birr in the concluded budget year, according to Agaje.
