Awash International Bank, an Ethiopian private bank, is expected to announce the winning bidder for the supply of 100 Automated Teller Machines and 80 point of sale terminals.

Six companies has participated in the bid, including M2M Group, a Morocco based company represented in Ethiopia by MOTI Engineering PLC; Copy Cat, an Indian company with Office in Ethiopia; and CBM represented by SSC in Ethiopia.

AIB is also member of Premier Switch Solutions S.C with Nib and United banks, a consortium established in 2010,allowing customers of their banks to use their ATM card at another bank.

Member banks contributed 30 million Ethiopian Birr to install 60 ATMs.

AIB posted a net profit of 394.4 million Birr and 469 Birr earning per share for 2012.
