The Development Bank of Ethiopia (DBoE) said it has distributed 3 billion birr loan during the past eight months of the Ethiopian Fiscal Year.
President of the bank, Isaias Bahre, told WIC the loan was disbursed among financial institutions, cooperative association and unions as well as other clients.
According to Isaias, the bank has planned to offer 7. 9 billion birr loan this Ethiopian budget year, showing more than 2.4 billion birr increase compared to the previous year. The bank also managed to collect 1.3 billon loans from clients in the reported period.
Isaias noted the bank has been providing financial support to enterprises and investors engaged in agriculture, industry and export trade sectors.
