Ethiopia: Lion Bank Got a New President
National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) approved Lion International Bank’s nominee for presidency, Getachew Solomon, a week after the latter submitted its request to the central bank.

Zemen Bank disclosed it made a gross profit of 165 Million Birr and a net profit of 128 Million Birr during the last fiscal year. This figure is 36 percent higher than the Bank’s 2012/2013 fiscal year performance which saw 123.8 Million Birr before tax profit.
Ethiopian Airlines and CFM International celebrated their decade long partnership, as the earlier has been CFM’s customer ever since it began flying using CFM56-7B-powered Boeing 737-700 aircraft back in 2003.
The U.S. based Green Fuel Solution, proclaimed it plans to generate clean and renewable energy from solid waste in Ethiopia.
The Turkish firm, Saygin, bought out Saygin Dima Textile Factory S.C. from the Ethiopian government after paying 10 percent of government owned shares in the factory.
