The U.S. based Green Fuel Solution, proclaimed it plans to generate clean and renewable energy from solid waste in Ethiopia.
Green Fuel’s Development Director, Marlon Pujol, while discussing with President Mulatu Teshome, noted his firm is waiting for permission from the Ethiopian government in order to gear up and start activity.
Ethiopia is already constructing a plant that generates energy from solid waste in its capital. The plant is being constructed on the landfill at Repi, where the capital’s waste has been disposed. Upon completion the plant will generate 50 Megawatt, which actually will give it highest generating capacity from the entire African continent.
This means if Green Fuel completes the project, then Ethiopia will have a second project that generates energy from solid waste.
The company is intending to carry out the project in partnership with G.A. Engineering Association.
G.A. Engineering Association‘s President, Girma Allero, explained the project is going ot be carrid out in collaboration with Metal and Engineering Corporation.
Pujol also commented Green Fuel is looking forward to produce materials that will be used for the construction of asphalt roads from bi- products.
The Director furthered, his firm is also interested in producing refinery equipments and exporting them to other nations of the continent.
