Ethiopia: Mogle Bottled Water Manufacturing Set to Expand

Mogle Bottled Water Manufacturing, bottler of One Water, is to embark on expanding and tripling its production capacity and manufacturing plastic bottles and caps.

Mogle currently bottles 32,000 bottles of water an hour. With the expansion, it will be able to triple its production capacity and bottle 96,000 bottles of water and manufacture 18,000 plastic bottles and 20,000 caps per hour.

Ethiopia: China Communications Construction Company to Construct Nib Insurance’s Head Office

Nib Insurance Company, which was established in 2002, hired China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) to construct its head office. The agreement will cost Nib Birr 812 million.

The insurance company pays Birr 15 million annual rent for its current headquarter which is located in Dembel City Center. Zufan Abebe, CEO of Nib, said, “Our current offices are not convenient for our daily tasks, and the rent price is increasing from time to time.” The company’s headquarter, which will have 23 storeys, including four basements and a mezzanine, will be built beside Mega Building, on Africa Avenue.

A.P. Moller - Maersk Expresses Interest to Invest in Ethiopia in the Logistics Sector

Office of the President announced that A.P. Moller - Maersk, a Danish International company, had expressed interest to invest in the logistics sector in Ethiopia. President Mulatu Teshome, who is in Denmark for both an official visit and the International Conference on Partnership for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030, discussed with the company’s representatives.

Ethiopian Airlines success at Avinor Oslo Airport

Since launching on 27 March 2017, Ethiopian Airlines has firmly established itself at Norway’s main airport. Now they are enhancing their service offering between Addis Ababa and Oslo Airport.

From 11 December, Ethiopian Airlines will be increasing its frequency between Addis Ababa and Avinor Oslo Airport, which means the route will be operated six times a week using Ethiopian’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.

Ethiopia: ITACA Launches a Textile Factory in Tigray

ITACA, an Italian fashion company launched a USD 15 million textile factory at Ashegoda, Tigray Regional State yesterday on October 18, 2019. The company’s CEO Federico Fraboni the factory had already began exporting clothes to Europe.

According to Haftom Fantahunegn, Investment Director at Tigray Trade, Industry and Urban Development Bureau, 1000 citizens are currently employed in the factory. He added that two additional textile factories would commence production soon.
