Total Ethiopia Managing Director Antoine Tourand has been replaced by Marc De Lataillade, after a two and half year term. 
Lataillade comes to Ethiopia with 17 years of experience with Total, with his last position being executive vice president for Total World Group, West Africa.
Tournand inaugurated the new and modern Total station at Ayat Village before leaving his position in Ethiopia.
The Ayat branch constructed at a total of 10 million birr and is equipped with double wall tankers, to prevent leakage as well as being the first station with electronic leak detection equipment.The construction of environmentally safe facilities and ensuring safe products was a priority for his term in Ethiopia said Tournand.
The measures taken by Total to minimize risks associated with the transport and delivery of its products to the consumer were significant according to Tournand.
Total’s profit margin is less the 10 cents but the stations it constructs will be safe 40 years from now he said.
More stations are required in Addis Ababa and other parts of the country and Total is ready to build safe stations everywhere claimed Tournand.
Tournand will be leaving Ethiopia for Turkey, where he will be managing the Total subsidiary there. His years in Ethiopia have been significant and he will miss Ethiopia and the Ethiopian said Tournand.
