Ethiopian Investment Holdings (EIH) has introduced a new digital platform named Adera, developed to collect reports related to corruption and malpractice within state owned enterprises under its management. The platform is available through a website and mobile application.
Adera is designed to allow users, including employees, customers, and the general public, to submit information anonymously. Reports can be sent in various formats, such as text, images, audio, or documents, from any location. The system is intended to facilitate communication without the need for direct contact or traditional paperwork.
According to EIH, submitted reports are transmitted directly to a monitoring unit through a dashboard, where the number of reports, investigation progress, and case outcomes can be tracked. The tool is described as a move from conventional paper-based systems to a digital process.
The platform was presented as a measure to address issues that may affect the operations of development organizations. It is also positioned as a response to challenges related to safety concerns and limited channels for reporting misconduct.
EIH was established under Council of Ministers Regulation No. 487/2022. It manages state owned enterprises with a stated goal of supporting long-term national economic development.
Access to the reporting tool is available at https://adera.eih.et.
