
The China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) has officially launched Phase I of the Addis Tomorrow Special Economic Zone, marking a major step in transforming Ethiopia’s capital into a modern, investment-ready city.
This amega project aims to integrate trade, finance, housing, culture, and education within a single master-planned urban hub. At the launch ceremony, CCCC Ethiopia General Manager Wei Qiangyu described the initiative as a symbol of enduring friendship between China and Ethiopia.
Presales began on Friday, with full completion targeted for December 2026. Already, five local and international institutions have signed investment agreements.
Representing the Addis Ababa City Administration, Eng. Zeleke Wakene hailed the project as a game-changer. “This is a strategic investment in our city’s future,” he said, emphasizing its role in attracting global investment and elevating infrastructure standards.
Addis Tomorrow aims to redefine Addis Ababa as a smart, sustainable, and globally connected metropolis.
