The Made in Ethiopia Expo has facilitated market connections valued at more than Birr 4 billion birr, Minister of Industry Melaku Alebel announced during the closing ceremony of the expo.
According to Melaku, prior to the inaugural of the Made in Ethiopia Expo 2025, a total of 168 discussion forums and 94 trade fairs were organized across various regions, zones, and woredas, resulting in transactions worth Birr 400 million.
The Ethiopian Product Expo is being held on a regular basis with the aim of promoting local manufacturing and fostering a culture of domestic consumption.
The Minister also noted the success of this year’s expo where numerous manufacturers showcased their products to a large audience of over 120,000 visitors.
In addition to the trade volume generated, the recent expo featured panel discussions focused on identifying and addressing structural challenges in the industrial sector.
