The first session of the Saudi-Ethiopian Business Council convened in Riyadh, marking a step towards enhanced economic cooperation between the Kingdom and Ethiopia, the Ethiopian Embassy in Riyadh announced.
Co-chaired by Hasen Abdullahi, Chairman of the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations, and Abdullah Al-Ajmi, Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, the meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral economic relations rooted in a long-standing partnership.
Participants emphasized the dawn of a new era in strategic collaboration, focusing on mutually advantageous ventures across sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, mining, tourism, and construction. The establishment of the Business Council aims to institutionalize economic collaboration, fostering structured platforms for trade and investment through joint initiatives and private sector engagement. Both sides agreed to regular dialogue and concrete project implementation, solidifying the Council's role in driving robust economic engagement.
