The Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad and the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) have announced plans to host a Business Forum on April 15, 2025, at the ICCI headquarters. The forum aims to engage Pakistani traders and investors ahead of the upcoming Single Country Exhibition, set to take place in Addis Ababa from May 15 to 17, 2025.

The decision was made during a meeting between Ethiopian Ambassador Jemal Beker and ICCI President Nasir M. Qureshi on Monday. Both sides discussed strengthening bilateral trade relations and organizing a successful forum to boost participation in the Addis Ababa event.

Ambassador Jemal congratulated Mr. Qureshi on his recent appointment and emphasized the longstanding partnership between the Embassy and ICCI. He highlighted the growing trade and investment opportunities in Ethiopia, crediting the success of the country’s homegrown economic reforms led by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.

The Ambassador also noted that the exhibition will coincide with the “Invest In Ethiopia 2025” forum, scheduled for May 12–14 in Addis Ababa. President Nasir Qureshi pledged full ICCI support for both the business forum and the upcoming exhibition, reaffirming commitment to deepening economic ties between Pakistan and Ethiopia.
