Ethiopia has been announced as the host nation for the upcoming 3rd Welding Federation of Africa (TWF) Annual Assembly and International Conference, scheduled for Addis Ababa in 2025.
The selection was announced in Lagos, Nigeria, where the 2nd annual assembly took place. Focused on the theme "Materials Manufacturing Technologies: Managing Capacities in Africa," the 2nd conference brought together scientists, engineers, industry leaders, and policymakers.
This crucial gathering served as a platform for knowledge exchange and exploration of cutting-edge advancements in materials manufacturing technologies. Discussions centered on how these advancements can improve practical applications across the continent.
TWF was established in 2017 and incorporated in Africa. It is a body of professionals and professional organizations, associations and institutions in welding and related technology. Its members are African professionals who reside in countries such as Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Egypt, Morocco, Uganda, Libya, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Namibia, Cameroon, and Kenya.
