Russian and Ethiopian Investors Meet in Moscow to Explore Investment Opportunities

Russia Ethiopia Investors Meet

Russian and Ethiopian investors gathered in Moscow to explore collaborative opportunities and leverage investment prospects in Ethiopia. The forum, organized by the Ethiopian Ministry of Trade, facilitated dialogue between officials and investors from both countries.

Discussions focused on the growing role of the manufacturing industry in Ethiopia and how foreign investment can leverage experiences and technologies to contribute to the country's economic development. Russian investors expressed their keen interest in the African market and noted that Ethiopia is becoming a preferred investment destination. Following the discussions, they indicated their interest in participating in the production of fertilizers, chemicals, metals, and mining sectors, as well as horticulture, agricultural machinery, and pharmaceuticals.

The Ministry of Industry has already signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with six Russian companies eager to invest in Ethiopia, particularly in textile, metal engineering, and pharmaceutical sectors.
