Ethiopia: EIIDE Sets Sights on East African Market Dominance

EIIDE Industrial Inputs

Ethiopian Industrial Inputs Development Enterprise (EIIDE) has created a 10-year strategic plan to achieve international competitiveness and seize the finest market prospects in the area.

EIIDE aims to dominate the East African market. According to Solomon Geresha, the company's Deputy CEO, their aim is to establish a dominant position in the regional market in order to help Ethiopia's lack of foreign currency. Utilizing the 1,500 permanent and temporary personnel spread throughout 83 branches nationally is part of the goal.

By providing industrial inputs at competitive costs, EIIDE has also been actively striving to stabilize the local market. The business seeks to lower the high cost of life by acquiring goods, keeping inventories, and delivering them to communities at reasonable prices in cooperation with pertinent organizations. In this regard, EIIDE has acquired and distributed building supplies like cement, tin, and steel round nails. The company has also imported chemicals used in detergent production and food processing.
