A Pakistani investment delegation consisting of 80 investors engaged in agriculture, manufacturing, minerals, technology, health care, and other sectors will hold a business visit in Ethiopia staring from March 12.

Ethiopian Embassy in Pakistan has been reporting that Pakistani investors are interested in entering the Ethiopian market. In February this year, a delegation of representatives of Pakistani companies led by the President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ahsan Zafar Bakhatawari discussed with Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Kemal Beker Abdula.

Companies engaged in packaging, cement, and steel manufacturing have also shown interest to invest in Ethiopia. One of these companies is Arif Habib Group, a multi-sector Group which is growing rapidly in Pakistan and engaged in securities brokerage, investment and financial advisory, private equity, investment management, fertilizer manufacturing, cement, steel, real estate, dairy, energy, and textile mills. Roshan Packages is another company that is eyeing Ethiopia for investment. It is a leading corrugated and flexible packaging manufacturer in Pakistan and expected to visit Ethiopia with the investment delegation that will enter Ethiopia on March 12.
