Ethiopian Investment Commission and East African Holding Agree on Industrial Park Development

The Ethiopian Investment Commission and East African Holding have reached an agreement on an industrial park which will be built by East African in Bishoftu. The parties signed the agreement on February 24, 2023.

The industrial park will be built over 100 hectares of land 40 kilometers from Addis Ababa and cost USD 108 million. It will be situated 15 kilometers from Mojo Dry Port and 3 kilometers from Addis Ababa – Adama railway. It will also have a power supply of 40 megawatts. According to Bizuayehu Tadelle (PhD), Chairperson of East African Holding, 15,000 jobs will be created once the park starts operation.

East African Holding is a local company that is engaged in several investment sectors including industrial park development, real estate development, mining, and cement production.
