Ethiopia: Omo Bank Amasses a Revenue of Birr 1.5 Billion

Omo Bank announced that it was able to collect a revenue of Birr 1.5 billion during the 2021/2022 fiscal year. The bank also distributed loans which total Birr 3.5 billion. In addition, its total assets have reached Birr 12 billion.

The bank is in the process of opening branches in Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples, South West Ethiopia Peoples, and Sidama Regional States to expand its reach. It currently has 165 branch and 80 sub branch offices across 17 districts.

Omo Bank, which is named after the Omo River, was established in 1997 as a micro finance institution. Its headquarters is in Hawassa.
