CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, Mesfin Tasew, disclosed that the airline expected to transport 12.7 million passengers during the current fiscal year. The airline’s passenger business will recover to pre-COVID levels if it manages to transport passengers as planned. Ethiopian Airlines was able to give service to 8.6 million passengers in the previous financial year.
According to the CEO, laxed restrictions on movement around the globe, the airline’s growing fleet numbers and destinations, and the peace settlement signed between the Federal Government and TPLF in November will allow the airline to ferry the targeted number of passengers.
Ethiopian Airlines transported 12.1 million passengers during the 2018/2019 fiscal year.
