Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX) announced that it would start trading wheat within the current Ethiopian year. Wheat trading will start after a draft agreement which is prepared to modernize wheat sale transaction in Ethiopia gets approved. ECX will also launch trading incense, cardamom, rice and legume products.

Most of ECX’s 25 branches are found across regions that are renowned for their wheat productions allowing farmers to easily deliver their produce.
