Ethiopian Investment Commission Committed to Providing Support for Pharmaceutical Companies in Kilinto

A team from Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) paid a visit to Africure Ethiopia Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Prime Point Pharmaceuticals Packaging, companies situated in Kilinto Industrial Park. The team, led by EIC’s Deputy Commissioner Daniel Teressa, saw the status of the companies today and held discussions with their representatives on next steps. EIC stated that it was committed to providing continued support to the companies.

Africure’s construction level has reached 90% and the company is expected to supply quality and affordable medicine to the Ethiopian pharmaceutical market upon completion. Prime Point Packaging will be manufacturing packaging materials for pharmaceuticals.

The Ethiopian Government has set a goal to become a pharmaceutical manufacturing hub by 2025. To realize this goal, the Government has been undertaking various developments in the sector including the establishment of Kilinto Industrial Park which is designated for pharmaceutical companies. Africure is the first entrant of Kilinto which is situated on 270 hectares of land in Addis Ababa.
